“…those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak…put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis] demands, to stand [firmly in your place]. Stand therefore…be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.” [Isaiah 40:31; Ephesians 6:13; James 5:8]
The Word of God tells us that there is a time for everything and a season for every activity, matter and purpose under heaven (see Ecclesiastes 3:1).
With this in mind, know that there will be times when God will fit us with spiritual wings so that we may soar like eagles, above the storms of life.
With this in mind, know that there’ll be seasons for
running, when the pace of the journey seems like a never-ending race of hectic
activity.
Then, suddenly, our pace slows to a walk.
Know that those are the times when God is gently leading and
guiding us along the path, restoring our souls and comforting us.
And there will be those times when we need to stand our
ground, standing firmly on our faith, trust and unwavering belief in our God,
resisting the assaults of the evil one on our minds, patiently and prayerfully
waiting on God’s perfect timing.
Beloved, be encouraged that whatever the season you may be
going through at this time, seasons are temporary. Winter always gives way to
Spring.
So, whether you’re in a season of soaring, running, walking
or standing, trust God and you will neither get weary nor grow weak for your
God promises to renew your strength.
Amen †
