Did you know that God chose you from the very beginning? God does not make mistakes, so don’t ever think that you were a mistake or an accident. You were deliberately planned and created by the tender hands of God, your Father, who loves you passionately. You have a very special purpose here on earth and because of that, you have been given specific gifts, talents, and abilities.
The time has come for you to see yourself as God sees you – as a reflection of His own Son Jesus Christ. Do not believe what others have said about you or how you feel about yourself; people’s opinions are just that, their own judgments not based on facts. Feelings are not dependable; they go this way then that; feelings lie. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, seek out the Truth of who you are in the Word of God. His Spirit guides you into ALL Truth and His Word never fails.
Ephesians 1:11-13 (ERV)
In Christ we were chosen to be God’s people. God had already planned for us to be His people, because that is what He wanted. And He is the one who makes everything agree with what He decides and wants. We Jews were the first to hope in Christ. And we were chosen so that we would bring praise to God in all His glory. It is the same with you. You heard the true message, the Good News about the way God saves you. When you heard that Good News, you believed in Christ. And in Christ, God put His special mark on you by giving you the Holy Spirit that He promised.
