“Your Word is Truth.” John 17:17

When Jesus, praying to the Father for His disciples said, “Your Word is Truth”, He was affirming the inerrancy of God’s Word. This means that God’s Word is free from errors, it is absolute.

You can therefore, with unbridled certainty, stand on the Word of God.

Psalm 138:2 tells us that God exalts His Word above everything. In other words, God has assigned His Word the highest rank of importance. God magnifies, glorifies, and honours His Word and has infused it with such power to cause every knee to bow at the declaration of His Word.

You can rest assured that there is no need to wonder about the authenticity of God’s Word. The Bible, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, has been compiled with diligent care for your benefit. So be encouraged to get into God’s Word daily – read, study, and meditate on it – allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you and give you understanding.

Amen †
